Microneedling may be a great option if:
You want to reduce acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, or other scarring.
You’re looking to improve skin texture, tone, elasticity, or reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.
You want to boost the effectiveness of your skincare products by enhancing absorption.
You prefer a non-invasive treatment that stimulates collagen and elastin production for natural rejuvenation.
Microneedling is suitable for most skin types, but may not be recommended if you’re pregnant, have certain skin conditions, or take medications that affect skin healing. A consultation will help determine if it’s right for you.
Before your microneedling treatment, discontinue the use of retinol, tretinoin, AHA, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, and similar products for at least 3-5 days. Avoid cosmetic treatments, such as chemical peels, lasers, or injectables, at least two weeks before your session. Refrain from prolonged sun exposure and self-tanner for two weeks, and ensure all self-tanner is removed prior to treatment. If you have active acne, cold sores, or open lesions, your treatment may need to be rescheduled. Microneedling cannot be performed within 6 months of using Accutane, or if you're pregnant or nursing. Antiviral medication may be required for those with a history of cold sores.
